Mind Your Language is a new exhibition celebrating the Manx language, presented by Manx National Heritage and Culture Vannin at the Manx Museum from 25 April to 4 October 2026.
Launched as part of Blein ny Gaelgey, Year of the Manx Language, the exhibition explores the history, beauty and continued importance of Manx through interactive displays, historic objects, artworks, audio and hands-on activities. Visitors can discover how the language has shaped the Island’s landscape, culture and identity, from place names to everyday words.
Organised around four themes, What is Manx?, Manx and Nature, Manx and People, and Manx and Place, the exhibition features highlights including an ogham stone cast, the Ballamoore Sundial, contemporary artworks and immersive audio-visual experiences.
With games, sound stations and opportunities to explore spoken Manx, the exhibition offers an engaging introduction for newcomers and a fresh perspective for those already familiar with the language.
Admission is free, with donations welcome.
