Join Vincent Wildlife Trust Ireland for a fascinating lecture on the elusive Manx Stoat!

Did you know that stoats on the Isle of Man and Ireland differ from their European counterparts? Vincent Wildlife Trust Ireland has been studying this unique subspecies on the Island of Ireland, and they’re ready to share their latest discoveries.

Come along to learn what makes our island’s smallest carnivore so special, from its distinctive traits to the secrets behind its remarkable tail!

For 50 years, Vincent Wildlife Trust (VWT) has led the way in supporting the recovery of mammal species such as the otter, horseshoe bats, and pine marten. VWT is respected internationally as a leader in developing and implementing innovative approaches that halt and reverse declines in threatened mammal species, thereby directly addressing biodiversity loss. VWT has had a permanent presence in Ireland since 1995. The main focus of VWT Ireland’s work is currently the lesser horseshoe bat, Irish stoat and the pine marten.

Please note this is at the iMuseum, Kingswood Grove, Douglas (next to Kingswood Honda, not the main Manx Museum). Parking: on-street or Chester Street Carpark, disabled parking is either in the Manx Museum Carpark or there is one space directly outside the gate of the iMuseum.
