Join Manx National Heritage and the Institute for Historic Building Conservation North West on Tuesday 9 June 2026 for a FREE lunchtime webinar and discover the challenges and opportunities of keeping the world’s largest working water wheel working.
John-Paul Walker, Historic Buildings Architect for Manx National Heritage, will talk through the 3-year conservation project drawing on a wide range of conservation techniques and engineering ingenuity. John-Paul remarked ‘It must be the most complex conservation project I’ve ever undertaken as a conservation architect – a structure of timber, iron and stone with no roof, water poured over it all day and it moves!’
