Castle Rushen, Rushen Abbey and Peel Castle are Approved Places for Civil Ceremonies. You can also complete an application to register other locations specifically for your ceremony.

House of Manannan
With unique views across Peel Marina and Peel Castle on St. Patrick’s Isle the newly renovated St. Patrick’s Isle Suite is ideal for an intimate ceremony for up to 40 guests. The light and airy space is a blank canvas to add your own colour scheme, flowers and finishing touches. Photo opportunities in the galleries or on a fine day, in the grounds of Peel Castle. Other galleries offer other opportunities for a unique wedding set.
Peel Castle
Enjoy dramatic views across Peel bay in this ancient fortress for open air ceremonies, blessings and photographs. The 16th century Garrison Hall, a few metres south of the Round Tower, is approved for up to 70 guests. The Bowling Green is approved for up to 150 people. This outdoor area was used for target practice, first by bowmen and later by musketeers.
Niarbyl Bay
Niarbyl Bay is one of the most stunning stretches of coastline on the Island and can offer the most beautiful of sunsets. The café can be used for wedding receptions or marquee wedding packages are available for up to 150 people.
Rushen Abbey
With picturesque gardens and ancient ruins, the historic Abbey is an Approved Place for Civil Ceremonies, outdoors in the beautiful gardens or in the former Guest House.
The Abbey Restaurant
Situated adjacent to Rushen Abbey, the Abbey Restaurant is the perfect location for bespoke wedding receptions. Small wedding ceremonies and blessings may be held at the Abbey private function room by special request. Please call The Abbey Restaurant for details (01624) 822393.
Castle Rushen
With rush matted floors and rich tapestries, the finely furnished rooms in the Castle keep offer a sumptuous setting for wedding ceremony. The outdoor Bailey with the majestic backdrop of the Castle or the outer Castle gardens offers space for an open air ceremony or marquee reception. Or opt for a ceremony in the more modern quarters in the Courtroom or Ceremony Room in Derby House. Several locations in Castle Rushen are now Approved Places for Civil Ceremonies.
The Grove
Once a Victorian summer retreat nestled nearby Ramsey town centre, The Grove is surrounded by countryside and boasts wild gardens and an apple orchard making it a perfect private setting.
Other unique venues or galleries also available for functions by special request.
