Favourite Manx Walks
The author, Alan Cooper, has lived in the Isle of Man for over twenty years. He has walked the hills, countryside, glens and coast of the Island extensively and has learned about the history and interesting stories of these places.
This guide offers some of the walks from previous publications that have been popular with readers, together with many new routes. The 30 walks described here will take you through all the different landscapes of the Isle of Man – upland moors, valleys, glens, tranquil rural landscapes, dramatic cliffs and deserted sea shores. The walks range from 4 to 13 miles: they are mostly circular and accessible by car and public transport.
If you are interested in exploring the rich diversity of the Isle of Man’s countryside and coast, and becoming informed along the way, this book is for you.
