Manx National Heritage is working with the Isle of Man Constabulary to mark the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the force, through a joint exhibition. MNH, which holds a significant amount of police memorabilia and archival material in its collections, will be collaborating with members of the force who have been busy over recent months collecting memories, photographs and other items from retired officers.
The exhibition, which will be staged within the courthouse at Castle Rushen, will run from Friday 30th August to Friday 13th September 2013, from 10am to 5pm. Admission to the exhibition is free, and access is via the Castle Rushen Gift Shop. A mixture of serving & retired police officers will also be on hand, manning the exhibition and sharing their memories with visitors.
