Manx National Heritage is inviting children to explore ‘Otherworlds’ in a trail of discovery at the Manx Museum and House of Manannan this February half term.
On the trail through the ‘Otherworlds’, children will encounter myth and legend from Manx folklore at the Manx Museum and uncover Viking mysteries in the galleries at the House of Manannan. All children successfully completing their journey through the ‘Otherworlds’ will have their completed trails entered into a competition to win a signed print by award winning artist Juan Moore, who designed the characters featured on the trail.
The trail at the Manx Museum links to the Sophia Morrison exhibition commemorating the life of the famous Manx folklore and fairy tales author, and cultural activist. The touring exhibition from Jorvik ‘Valhalla: In search of the Viking dead’ is at the heart of the ‘Otherworlds’ trail at the House of Manannan in Peel.
Each trail costs £1. These super voyages of discovery end on 24th April 2017. Proceeds from the sale of the trails will help support the work of Manx National Heritage in the care and promotion of the heritage and culture of the Isle of Man.
