Toy Story- Exploring Our Playful Past KS2

Toys provide enticing insights into the lives of children and purpose of play on the Island through the ages. Our ‘Toy Story’ workshop will be hosted within our temporary exhibition at the House of Manannan, ‘Playful Pasts’ Our Journey with Toys. This exhibition will showcase a range of objects from much loved toys, from wealthy children such as Janet and Alice Gibb of the Grove Museum to simple toys made from scrap materials by Germans interned on the Island during the First and Second World Wars. In this workshop children will have an opportunity to play with a wide range of reproduction toys from times long past!
Free of charge.
Morning 10am – 11.30am and afternoon 1pm – 2.30pm
Contact enquiries@mnh.gov.im to book.
