Reminiscence

Reminiscence Loan Boxes

Manx National Heritage offer a memory box loan service for care homes, day centres or community groups to enable self-led reminiscence sessions. The boxes contain museum objects and photographs from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s to stimulate conversation and promote discussion.  Please ask about our guidance training for help in developing reminiscence groups.

Meet Me At the Museum

Meet Me at the Museum is an opportunity for older people and those living with dementia and their supporters to bring their curiosity to the Manx Museum. We will be spending a relaxed and informal afternoon together chatting, touring the galleries and handling objects that tell the story of the Island’s history. The session includes tea and cake.

If you are interested in booking a free place or you know someone who might like to join us please contact Katie King on 01624 648035 or email katie.king@gov.im.
