Isle of Man Heritage Open Days are held every autumn bringing together museums, societies, individuals and historic properties Island-wide to offer six days of open doors, tours, guided walks and activities that are free to explore. The festival celebrates our unique heritage through providing access to unusual spaces and places on the Isle of Man.
Heritage Open Days 2023 is underway and Manx National Heritage are inviting organisations and individuals across the Isle of Man to take part. If you own or care for a historic building, landholding or collection that you would love to show off to the Manx public, Manx National Heritage would like to hear from you! The festival will take place on the following weekends:
Friday 29 September – Sunday 1 October 2023
Friday 6 – Sunday 8 October 2023
For more than 14 years heritage partners have joined together with our charity to provide visitors with an exciting programme which celebrates and enriches our knowledge and experience of the Isle of Man. With our dedicated partners we will host a varied programme of quality events and enable more people to see our island’s amazing places and spaces.
It’s a great opportunity for you to raise awareness of your organisation, your knowledge and skills or just your passion for all things heritage. The event must be free for ticketholders and organisers are responsible for looking after the delivery and safety of the event they have planned.
Manx National Heritage will coordinate the programming, marketing, reservations, ticketing and enquiries for the overall event. We are happy to help with any queries or questions you have about taking part. You can contact us through the following channels:

This year Manx National Heritage will be using the ticketing platform Eventbrite. By completing the attached form and getting it back to us in good time we will ensure that your events are uploaded to the ticketing platform and feature in our printed Heritage Open Days Programme.
If you would like to take part please complete the attached ‘Taking Part’ form so that we can add your event/s to the programme. Our deadline for entries is Sunday 9 July 2023.
