Manx National Heritage Unwraps a Wonder-Filled Festive Season

Manx National Heritage is thrilled to announce the launch of its magical programme of Christmas events, offering families across the Isle of Man an enchanting line up of festive fun, from hands on crafts and creative workshops to film favourites and heart warming museum experiences on the Isle of Man.

Christmas Lantern-Making Workshop

Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November – House of Manannan
Start the festive season with sparkle by crafting your own magical lantern, perfect for brightening up those winter evenings. £8 per child, accompanying adults free.

P50 Wool & Whiskers Challenge

Launching Saturday 29 November – House of Manannan
How many Manx cat and Loaghtan sheep teddies are hiding inside the iconic Microcar? Take a guess for the chance to win your own litter of fluffy toy Manx kittens and flock of cuddly toy Manx Loaghtan sheep! The competition runs until Monday 12 January.

Make Your Own Treasure Chest Workshop

Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November – House of Manannan
Young adventurers are invited to delve into the Island’s National Treasures and craft their own decorated treasure chest, filled with chocolate coins (with allergen-free options). A perfect blend of learning and festive fun.

Christmas at The Grove

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December – The Grove Museum
Step into a Victorian Christmas and meet our traditional green-clad Father Christmas. Explore beautifully decorated rooms, enjoy festive music, indulge in seasonal treats from Parish Pantry, and take home a quality gift. On Saturday there will be a live performance by Roc Vannin and Matt Kelly will be performing across the weekend.  Tickets to see Father Christmas cost £10 per child, including festive gift for every child. Standard adult admission applies, with free entry for Season Passholders and Members of the Friends of Manx National Heritage.

Magic of Julia Donaldson Day – SOLD OUT

Sunday 14 December – Manx Museum

A celebration of beloved tales including The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom, featuring storytelling, crafts and film screenings.  This event is now fully booked.

Family Christmas Film Screenings

The Muppets Christmas Carol will be screened at 2pm on Saturday 22 December and Sing will be screened at 2pm on Friday 2 January in the Manx Museum Film Theatre. Popcorn and seasonal treats will be available at the Manx Museum reception. Tickets £5.
