Discover the Story of the Isle of Man’s Sei Whale Skeleton

Join us at the Manx Museum to mark the 100th anniversary of the iconic Sei whale skeleton – a landmark in the Isle of Man’s natural history collection. In partnership with Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch and the Manx Wildlife Trust, this special summer holiday event is packed with educational, hands-on activities for children and families.

  • Beneath the Bones: Whale Skeleton Tour & Ocean Discoveries

Explore the fascinating history of the Sei whale skeleton with our curators, then dive into marine science with microscopes, real ocean samples, and insight into the effects of plastic pollution.

  • Meet the Dolphins: A Whale of a Talk with MWDW

Learn about whales and dolphins in Manx waters with an interactive, inflatable-filled session led by marine expert Jen Adams. Discover how scientists track cetaceans and how you can spot them from the shore.

  • Whale Tales: Community Art & Collage

Join our drop-in art session to help build a beautiful community whale collage using ocean-friendly materials. Get creative while learning about marine conservation and the power of art for change.
