Connie Lovel, Chief Executive for Manx National Heritage said:
“Our seasonal sites reopening is always a time of year we look forward to as our site teams, volunteers and supporters bring the Manx National Heritage sites to life for the Island’s residents and visitors to enjoy. We have already welcomed the Island’s first tour group visitors of the season, and we look forward to welcoming many more throughout the year and to creating memorable experiences for our visitors, from near or far”.
From climbing the Great Laxey Wheel to exploring the Isle of Man’s two magnificent medieval castles, or experiencing Cregneash, our gardens, Museum galleries and collections, there are many days out and activities to look forward to throughout the months ahead.
Extended opening hours will be in place at the Great Laxey Wheel during June, July and August, and Manx National Heritage sites also offer extended opening by request in advance, to accommodate visiting tour groups and cruise ship visits.
The highlight of the year at the Manx Museum will be the opening of ‘Knox: Order and Beauty’, an extraordinary event at the Museum in Douglas, featuring the world’s largest exhibition of Archibald Knox’s work ever seen. Archibald Knox is known worldwide as a prolific and innovative designer whose work with Liberty helped define the aesthetic of the early 20th century.
There’s also the opportunity to meet three world leading experts on Knox including Dr Stephen Martin, Anthony Bernbaum and Paul Carter Robinson, who will present at the Manx Museum on 5 and 6 April.
Details of events across all sites are available to browse and book on the Manx National Heritage website. Keep checking the Manx National Heritage website for details of new events being held throughout the year.
Manx National Heritage sites are open from Thursday 27 March until Sunday 2 November 2025. Information on opening times, tickets, events and exhibitions are published on www.manxnationalheritage.im
