There will be a brief introductory talk and a demonstration of the ultrasound detectors that we shall be using. When it gets dark we will then set off around the village to look for bats and listen in on the secretive high-pitched sounds they use for echo-location.
The walk around Andreas village will cover a total of approximately 1.8 km and will be on pavements and public roads that are suitable for assisted or un-assisted wheelchair access. Outdoor shoes should be worn and clothing suitable for the season. Meet by the clock outside Andreas School, there is parking around the village – please park considerately. Send us an email with your name, contact details and number of attendees and we will reply to confirm your booking: bmoon@manx.net. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Places are limited.
