Join Jude Dicken (Manx National Heritage’s Collections Information Manager) for a ‘listening dive’ into the sound archives, as Manx fishermen recall their days at sea, when Peel and other harbours were a forest of masts.
Hear recollections from the late-19th-century to more modern times of fishing superstitions, the life of the crews and the spectacle on land of herrings being barrelled and nets mended.

Refreshments included.

The House of Manannan is fully accessible, please see our Access Guide for more information.
