Heritage Open Days

An opportunity to explore some of the unusual or less publicly accessible historic properties, lands and buildings that celebrate the Isle of Man’s rich heritage and culture over two long weekends.

Friday 6 October - Sunday 8 October 2017

Heritage organisations and private owners Island-wide join together to open their doors and share their knowledge of historic treasures. All of the events are free to attend, with many ‘drop in’ events throughout the six days.

We have also added three new events to the programme.

Saturday 7 October Agneash Methodist Chapel – Methodism and Mining. Drop in between 10am-4pm to explore displays, exhibitions and artefacts on Methodsim and mining in Agneash and its surrounding area. There will also be plenty of tea and cake.

Sunday 8 October 1:30pm Manx Footpaths Conservation Group – Tholt y Will Tholtans

Sunday 8 October 2:30pm Knock-e-Dhooney – Ice Age to the Vikings
