Victorian Society Annual Lecture: Life Underwater – The Lost Farms and Railway of West Baldwin Reservoir

A look at lives and activities of the residents of Ulican and Ballaleney, the two smallholdings now below West Baldwin reservoir, hosted by the Isle of Man Victorian Society and Manx National Heritage.

A look at lives and activities of the residents of Ulican and Ballaleney, the two smallholdings now below West Baldwin reservoir. Details of some of their farming and social activities, together with information on the route and few remaining fragments of the now lost railway which ran from Hillberry to West Baldwin which was created just to build the reservoir.
