The Isle of Man’s rich landscape is home to Ella. When she is on the Island, she enjoys its beauty and when she is away she yearns for it. There is a great sense of history in the dry stone walls, one imagines the harsh winters spent carefully creating them but also every uneven stone joins together to somehow form a coherent whole, a bit like a community, made up of diverse people who all contribute to make a place feel like home. The dry stone walls both protect and divide. The wildlife on the Island also gives Ella a comforting feeling of home, that she is part of the ecology and systems of this land.
