Manx National Heritage, the organisation responsible for protecting and promoting the Isle of Man’s heritage and culture is calling for entries for the Donald Collister Heritage Grant Scheme.
The scheme was launched in January 2016, following a generous bequest to the Manx nation from the late John Donald Collister. Following the bequest, a three year programme of activity was established after a ten week public consultation which sought views from the local community and broader associations and organisations on use of the bequest.
Following the consultation, the Donald Collister Heritage Programme was established. The Heritage Grants Programme was identified as one of four key areas that the bequest will support.
Applicants have until 31 March 2016 to submit applications for funding, which will be awarded to organisations and individuals that demonstrate a measurable, sustainable contribution to the community, attract new visitors and protect the Isle of Man’s local and national heritage.
